'Black Widow' Released in Theaters When You're Old

Amidst the click-bait speculation disguised as real news a few months ago, I debunked that Black Widow would take the digital streaming route Mulan eventually did. Disney has now issued a new theatrical release date for Black Widow, which will be May 7, 2021. The shift is going to have a falling domino effect with new dates for other MCU films such as Eternals (November 5, 2021) and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9, 2021).

Captain America wants you to have "Patience." This is a billion-dollar property, and Disney will not take a quick cash grab when waiting will ensure the mass profit they're seeking and, in light of financial losses due to the global pandemic, needing. None of this should be a surprise.
