Disney Pleased with 'Bigger, Bolder' Season Two of 'The Mandalorian'

The trailer for Season Two of The Mandalorian is so late that Star Wars fans are tempted to put Din Djarin's face on milk cartons. As usual with anything related to Star Wars these days, any delay, no matter how minor, gives birth to hundreds of conspiracy theories, nearly all of them bogus.
However, the truth is quite mundane. The trailer simply wasn't ready yet. There is no behind-the-scenes turmoil, no reshoots from hell to splash fresh paint on a junk heap. Disney was in no rush. The first Mandalorian trailer needed to grab as many potential Disney+ subscribers as possible; they desperately needed to release footage in advance as possible to stir the hype. With Season Two, they already have a captive audience of more than 60 million. Why not take the time to make sure the FX is polished to perfection and with stainless editing to provide a high-impact first look at Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano?
Sources indicate that Disney is quite pleased with Season Two, praising it as a 'bigger, bolder' adventure than its predecessor. One insider even revealed - spoiler warning - that the bounty hunter Bossk from The Empire Strikes Back was planned to make an appearance but it's unknown if he made it into the final production. They add that the trailer should drop in the next two to three weeks, if not sooner. Update: The official release date for Season Two is October 30, 2020.
