The sisters will not let a global pandemic stop them from fighting.

When Anak Ni Waray vs. Anak Biday (English: Child of Waray vs. Child of Biday) debuted on the GMA Network in the Philippines on January 27, 2020, many could not have predicted the whole world being flipped upside down by a deadly virus. By March, Anak Ni Waray, like all of GMA's TV programs, had to cease filming because of enhanced community quarantine in the area.

Principal photography for Anak Ni Waray has now officially resumed. The airing date of new episodes is pending an announcement from GMA.

Anak Ni Waray had Kate Valdez returning to serialized television in her most anticipated project thus far. It found Valdez again the company of Hall of Fame juggernauts, '80s cinematic figures Snooky Serna (who appeared in the original film) and Dina Bonnevie, who are caught in a decades-long family feud after being in love with the same man. When their children, played by Valdez and Barbie Forteza, become BFFs, the cultural and personal animosity between the moms stretches to another generation.
