Matt Murdock WON'T Be Peter Parker's Lawyer in Spider-Man 3

Stop right there: Legally, it can't happen. Sorry.

I debunked this months ago, long before the Sony-Disney dispute over Spider-Man in the MCU, but now the bogus rumor/speculation is haunting the Web again.

And it's not true.

Matt Murdock cannot be Peter Parker's attorney in the next Spider-Man film, which is scheduled for release on July 16, 2021.

Unfortunately, Netflix' hold on Daredevil's live-action rights don't expire until about November 2020. In order for Marvel Studios to utilize Daredevil, that reserve would have to be expired right now so they could include him in the script (currently being written) and sign Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil to a contract. They're not allowed to do either. No loopholes in this, your honor.

As much as I would love to see this, Marvel Studios is barred from making this geek fantasy a reality.

Months before the announcement of the She-Hulk TV series for Disney+, I said she would be Parker's lawyer. I'm sticking to it.
