Report: Aldis Hodge is Hawkman in 'Black Adam'

Written By Mikey Sutton • Editor-in-Chief • Owner

Per Variety, Aldis Hodge of The Invisible Man is in negotiations to star as Hawkman in Black Adam. He will join the Justice Society of America. As I reported in the past, the introduction of the JSA will open doors to a cinematic meeting with Zack Snyder's Justice League line-up years from now in the DCEU. Puzzle pieces.

Although this will be Hawkman's cinematic debut, his live-action stretches back to 1979 with the campy Legends of the Super-Heroes TV specials in 1979, played by Bill Nuckols. Hawkman, portrayed by Falk Hentschel, became a series regular on Greg Belanti's Legends of Tomorrow on the CW in its first season in 2016 after guest appearances on The Flash and Arrow. The Rock's affection for the early '00s David S. Goyer/Geoff Johns run of Justice Society comics is becoming more apparent in how it influences his Black Adam movie.
