HBO Max's faith in The Snyder Cut is solid as steel.
According to a new report from Small Screen, a Justice League sequel is already in development with the streaming network and director Zack Snyder. Edward Lauder wrote that:
"Snyder and HBO Max are already planning a sequel to this upcoming four-part series."
Lauder added that Snyder has begun writing the script with Chris Terrio, who also worked on Batman v Superman and Justice League. The goal is also apparently bringing back Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Henry Cavill, and Ben Affleck. Neither Ezra Miller nor Jared Leto were mentioned, though. This is meant to be a four-part mini-series like The Snyder Cut for HBO Max.
The inclusion of Affleck in the report surprised me the most. I was under the impression that his rumored Batman movie for HBO Max would be his last goodbye but perhaps he's found new inspiration with the creative freedom at the channel. I originally discussed Snyder's Justice League 2 on September 12 (link below).
The last update I heard about JL2 was that Darkseid would be the main foe with Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and Miller in the cast. The John Stewart Green Lantern and Blue Beetle, the Jaime Reyes version, will be added as new additions. Both articles seem to paint a larger picture together.
